ITAD – IT ASSET DISPOSITION

Let’s Partner up, reset EOL-Timers and keep IT in the Loop!

ITAD refers to the business practice of securely and responsibly disposing of, reusing, repairing, recycling, or reselling obsolete or unwanted IT hardware. It focuses on secure data destruction, maximizing value recovery, and environmental compliance at the end of an IT asset’s lifecycle.

We deliver real value and sustainability while remain unwavering in our commitment to safety and security standards

IT ASSET DISPOSITION – Sustainability & Environmental Impact

The Impact of Professional Recycling

When reuse is not possible, certified recycling minimizes the environmental footprint

  • Urban mining: Extracting gold, copper, and palladium from electronic waste is up to 10 times more energy-efficient than industrial mining.²
  • Hazardous substance control: Proper disposal prevents lead, mercury, and cadmium from entering the soil or groundwater.

² Zeng, X., Mathews, J. A., & Li, J. (2018). Urban Mining of E-waste is becoming More Cost-Effective Than Virgin Mining. Environmental Science & Technology, 52(8), 4835–4841.

Focused on conserving resources and generating additional value

Creating Value

By reselling or recycling IT equipment instead of disposing of it, its economic value is maximized and a sustainable circular economy is promoted.

Secure Sustainability

CO₂ savings are achieved through the recycling and reuse of materials, resulting in more environmentally friendly IT disposal.

Data Destruction

Uncompromising security in data destruction protects companies from data misuse and ensures compliance with data protection regulations.

IT ASSET DISPOSITION – KEEP IT RUNNING

Keep IT running is Key

Extending the lifespan of IT infrastructure is a major factor in reducing its carbon footprint. Giving a rack server a “second life” saves significantly more emissions than even the most efficient recycling of its components.

  • Avoid new production:
Depending on the data center’s energy mix, approximately 15–25% of a server’s total greenhouse gas emissions are attributable to its manufacturing (embedded carbon). Since the production of high-performance semiconductors and circuit boards is extremely energy- and resource-intensive, the energy savings from a more efficient new device often take many years to offset the carbon footprint of its production.³
